Charlotte Paradis, viola

Born in Québec city, Charlotte studies at the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec with Professor François Paradis and is awarded a « Prix à l’unanimité » in chamber music. Charlotte then completes a Performer’s Diploma at the Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University with Professor Atar Arad, whom she met over her numerous stays at the Academy of the Domaine Forget.

Over the course of her musical education, Charlotte has the opportunity to play as a soloist with the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, and as a chamber musician with the Trio Frontenac and at the Musique de chambre à Ste-Pétronille festival. She plays in masterclasses for Antoine Tamestit, Jean Sulem, James Dunham and Paul Silverthorne, to name a few. In 2017, she also attends the internationaly renouned masterclass of the Musical Academy of Villecroze, in France. She regularly joins the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec and Symphony Nova Scotia as a freelance musician.

Charlotte performs on a viola crafted by Annibale Fagnola and a bow from Jérôme Thibouville Lamy, both generously loaned by CANIMEX INC.
